But, here's a trivia question: which 20th-century president was "accused" of having recent black ancestry, dismissed rumors those rumors with a joke that he wouldn't be surprised if some of his ancestors went "over the fence," and had a much better civil rights record than his immediate predecessors and successors, including a controversial speech to a southern audience defending (to some degree) the rights of African Americans?
