Sunday Song Lyric:

Maybe I'm just way out of touch, but I was a bit underwhelmed by this
year' [1]Grammy nominations for "Record of the Year," and just because
one is the subject of [2]plausible copyright infringement allegations.
Of the nominees, I have a soft spot for [3]Robert Plant and Alison
Krauss. I am an old fan of Led Zeppelin, and I admire Plant's effort
to innovate musically (especially when it would be easier, and perhaps
even more lucrative, to feed off of LedZep fandom and join endless
[4]reunion tours).
Interestingly enough, the song for which Plant and Krauss were
nominated is an old Plant-Jimmy Page composition, "Please Read the
Letter" off of their collaborative album, [5]Raising Sand. Here are a
bit of the [6]lyrics:
Caught out running with just a little too much to hide
Maybe baby, everything's gonna turn out fine
Please read the letter, I nailed it to your door
Its crazy how it all turned out, we needed so much more
Too late, too late, a fool could read the signs
Maybe baby, youd better check between the lines
Please read the letter, I wrote it in my sleep
With help and consultation from the angels of the deep
Please read the letter that I wrote
Please read the letter that I wrote
Here's the [7]video, a [8]live performance, and a [9]comparison of the
Plant-Page and Page Krauss versions.
