   A reader writes:

I ran across [1]this essay by Charles Reich about his experiences
as an associate at Cravath in the 1950s. In the essay, Reich refers
to the many stanzas of The Partners' John, a song telling the
story of the rise of a young associate to the long-anticipated
moment when he receives a key to the partners' john.

Perhaps one of your readers recalls the song (and can provide
lyrics). Or, have we (lamentably) lost The Partners John to the
     ages?
