FWIW,

I scanned the 829M manual.    (I ended up with the device. - My thanks
to John again.)

It should eventually show up on http://bama.edebris.com, and
http://www.ko4bb.com/getsimple/index.php?id=manuals, once the
respective site owners get around to processing their upload queues.
If anyone needs it sooner, please feel free to holler, and I'll put it
up "somewhere else".  (Is 26MB, and really too big to e-mail.)
