Dear Apache OpenOffice Team,

I am Haydn Li, a second-year Computer Science student at the University of
British Columbia in Vancouver, Canada, reaching out to express my
enthusiasm for contributing to Apache OpenOffice. My academic journey and
internships have equipped me with a robust foundation in C++, including
expertise in Object-Oriented Programming, Memory Management, and more,
which I am eager to apply and expand upon within the OpenOffice project.

My technical skill set spans several languages and technologies, including
Python, Java, Go, C++, and various frameworks such as NodeJS and ReactJS. I
have applied these skills in real-world contexts through internships at
organizations like BlackBerry, where I developed a Python-based policy
update mechanism utilizing Kafka, and at Eigen Fitness, focusing on
real-time communication features using WebSocket and NodeJS.

I am particularly interested in leveraging my understanding of build
systems and C++ development to contribute to OpenOffice. I am passionate
about open-source projects and believe that my background in software
development, coupled with my eagerness to learn and grow within the
community, will allow me to make meaningful contributions.

Enclosed is my resume, detailing my technical skills and experiences. I am
looking forward to the opportunity to discuss how I can contribute to the
success of OpenOffice and am available at [email protected] or (236)
989-0232 for any further information or to arrange a conversation.

Thank you for considering my application. I am keen to contribute to and
learn from the OpenOffice community.

Warmest regards,

Haydn Li
