Dear Vircom customers, VOP Mail 5.3 Beta is now available for download at the following URL:
http://www.vircom.com/downloads The following features were added to VOP Mail: * Added high performance DNS client. This will bypass the standard Windows DNS client and avoid NETBIOS queries. * Added an automatic fallback to a secondary DSN. If the primary DSN specified in the database for mailboxes or mail lists is not available, the secondary DSN will be used. Note that all changes that occur to the secondary DSN will not be merged to the primary DSN database when it comes back online (or vice versa). * Added new logging type for authentication trough POP3, IMAP4 and SMTP auth and new logging type for the Anti-Spam detection trough SMTPRS. these logs can be activated through the standard logging panel in Mailcfig. * Added a cache option for the domain MX checking for the sender address. 'Security' panel, 'Protocol' page. * Added customizable bounce messages for Banned IP failures, Reverse DNS lookup failures and RBL Error messages. These settings are defined strictly through the registry. * Added a "Reject Connection Immediately if the Host is Black-Listed" option for the RBL (Realtime Blacklist) and Reverse DNS. * Added support for subscribe/unsubscribe for database mailing list. * Added relayed domains max retries panel. The new panel can be found in: Configuration->Schedules->Relayed Domains Max Retries. For a list of bug fixes made in VOP Mail 5.3 Beta, please visit: http://www.vircom.com/downloads/rnvopmail.htm.
