okay, I didn't turn it on.  I wasn't interested in blocking spam though.
I've just had this user got stuck twice unable to download his mail.  it
would get to some message and get stuck.  it wasn't a size issue as all the
file sizes were small.  we opened the files on the server, deleted all the
junk mail, and the real ones got through.

I suppose you're telling me that what I really need to do is get webmail
installed so that if this happens again they can try to delete the mail that
way.
