I have been looking in my postmaster account (checking the reasons for bounces, etc.) and have found many with a similar message as in the one below. These are the attached messages from the bounces that are sent back to my server when we try to notify the original sender (possibly a spammer) of some sort of error. When they are attempting to send to our clients, this is what is bounced back to them: ****************** start of email ****************** Your message has encountered delivery problems to the following recipient(s): [EMAIL PROTECTED] Delivery failed User's mailbox directory is not accessible to the mail server --3039/208/1046862369/VopMail/mail.IOWALINK.COM Content-Type: message/delivery-status Reporting-MTA: dns; mail.IOWALINK.COM Received-From-MTA: dns; harrier.mail.pas.earthlink.net (unverified [207.217.120.12]) Arrival-Date: Wed, 5 Mar 2003 05:06:09 -0600 Final-Recipient: rfc822; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Action: failed Status: 5.3.0 (Permanent failure - system: no additional status information available) --3039/208/1046862369/VopMail/mail.IOWALINK.COM-- ************************* end of email message ************************* What I am trying to determine is the reason my server is saying to theirs: "User's mailbox directory is not accessible to the mail server" This account is otherwise available. Is this the message given by VOPMail when they are refused while sending a message or if they are on the spam filter list? It gives me the sense that I have a directory permission problem on my side.
