* This is the VOP Radius mailing list * Our radius doesn't know anything about time of day or time zones in this regard. It expects the auth source to tell it HOW LONG a user can stay on. Then it tells the RAS.
So... if you don't know what Time Zone a caller might call in from, you have a tough problem. For max financial safety you would run your auth source on ET but then WT and AK and Hawaii customers would be truncated at 9:00 PM or 7:00 PM or.... 4:PM?? on the last day of the month. All of this could be taken care of by software that would check the NPA-NXX of the incoming call. (We get that even from our remote pops) and adjust accordingly. But, neither ours nor anyone else does that I know of. :-) Cary Fitch ----- Original Message ----- From: "David Payer" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, August 16, 2002 5:27 PM Subject: [VOP RADIUS] ExpirationDate > * This is the VOP Radius mailing list * > > Subtract GMT and the session limit from your server's timezone to be > > sure...also applies to timebank refresh > > > \ > > How about if you are authenticating people in multiple time zones via > wholesale pools like Qwest? > > David P. > > > ** > To leave this list, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] > and put the word "LEAVE" in the BODY of the email. -.-.-.-.This mail has been virus scanned and spam filtered.-.-.-.- ** To leave this list, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and put the word "LEAVE" in the BODY of the email.
