Subject: [VOP RADIUS] proxy state

Anyone know where I can find the RFC where proxy-state is mentioned? I did a search but didn't find anything on proxy-state

TIA

Steve

You can _try_.  According to the RFC, the Proxy-State is a "MUST" item so turning off the proxy-state violates the RFC.  If your RADIUS server is the last item in the chain, so to speak, you can try using the "Remove-Attributes" in one of your profiles but I can't guarantee it'll work 100%.  That's because it's possible you already have multiple-proxy states in the packet (one proxy-state attribute per Radius server in the proxy chain), so we don't necessarely know which attribute to remove.

The special attribute is called "Remove-Attributes". This is the syntax:

Profile=""

<tab>Service-Type = Framed-User

<tab>Framed-Protocol = PPP

<tab>Remove-Attributes = 33

33 being the numerical value of the proxy-state attribute in the dictionary.

Again, I'm not 100% sure it'll work.

I have a virtual ISP that doesn't want the proxy-state going back to their POPs can I trun this off in the profiles?
