Right, All your clients already have a radius profile, you can’t say “if the NAS is X or Y disregard the port limit”.

That is an issue. One that has similarities to functionality I want VOPRadius to have for slipstream users. The more I see limitations the closer I am to looking hard at FreeRadius. Its my understanding that it has all these capabilities.

Don’t get me wrong, I like VOP …. But I’m finding it harder and harder to wait for features. One day I’m just going to have to jump.

Flexibility mainly.  The suggestion was for me to remove the simultaneous login restriction and allow globalpops to handle the restriction.  The problem is that I have other clients who will not do that same, and the setting is server-wide.

Did they have any reasoning about how any other Radius Server would do a better job than VOPRadius? I assume they don’t support watch-dog packets. Do they support anything else?

Should have mentioned...

Globalpops suggested either removing simultaneous login limits or switching to a different radius server in order to correct the ghosting issue.  Neither suggestion was very helpful.

What client type is used with globalpops. I have client definitions setup and have tried with “other” and “Radius Server” and authentication is working however, I get no radius errors when a bad login is used, nor do I get an entry in onlineusers when a good login is used and gets connected.

Also, does globalpops pass on stop packets for users they detect as a ghost … or am I going to have ghost issues with them?
