I need a way to send a Stop/Start series of packets to my accounting server at least once a month for bandwidth billing of dedicated connections. Daily would be nice, but not critical. I'd be happy with just making it happen once a month. I was told this could be done with interim accounting, but after reading I get the impression that it will work until the stop comes and then my billing system will double bill that time.
