The cover headline of the Scientific American:

"Human Evolution Is Not Over"

Well duh.

Why would it be over?

Actually, this is a pretty good article. It describes recent findings such
as the adaption to high altitudes in Tibet. I sympathize with the magazine
staff. It is hard to write a headline that does not over-simplify and make a
complex topic sound ridiculous.

Michael Shermer's "Skeptic" column has an interesting headline that does not
simplify the content, but only the cosmos and biology: "Physics shows that
cell phones cannot cause cancer." Yeah, right. He claims there is "no
epidemiological evidence" for harm (which is factually wrong -- although the
evidence slight) and "physics shows that it is virtually impossible for cell
phones to cause cancer" (so we know all of physics and biology?). This guy
calls himself a skeptic, but he is anything but.
