The name of Rossi's blog, journal-of-nuclear-physics.com, has drawn a lot of criticism. Steve Krivit insinuated that Rossi is trying to make people confuse his plot was an old Russian physics journal. I think the title is pretentious. however, I just noticed that the heading of the blog says:

"Journal of Nuclear Physics
Nuclear experiments blog"

It says "blog." I do not think anyone would confuse that with an established physics journal.

As I said before, I think he pick the title because it is a literal expression of what he thinks it is -- a journal. I think he picked that title without regard for the impression that makes.

He is unquestionably a quirky fellow, and he makes some fishy claims. This harms his credibility and the public image of cold fusion, to say the least.

An example of a fishy claim can be found on his personal web site http://ingandrearossi.com/

It says he has a degree from Kensington University in the U.S. This is reportedly a fake diploma mill. A search for it leads all over the place, to various web sites, but no university. One of them started at the university website kensington.edu and ended up at an electronics manufacturer:

http://us.kensington.com/

And a legal document:

"Kensington University

The judgment remains completely unsatisfied and has been deemed uncollectible within the state of Hawaii. Although incorporated in Hawaii, KU was based in the state of California. KU’s Hawaii corporation was dissolved by court order on October 29, 2003.
