[follows Jojo Jaro's rant.]
Lomax reminds me of Ahmadinejad.
One of the characteristics of paranoia is that
one thing "reminds" the paranoid of something
else, with great ease, what are seen by most
people as disconnected facts, with no common
causal relationship, are interpreted as
interconnecting proofs of the underlying thesis.
Ahmadinejad's religious beliefs in the imminent
return of the "occulted" Shi'a Imam Muhammad
al-Mahdi have alarmed some Western commentators.
Ahmadinejad expresses a personal experience,
where he interprets attention from world leaders
as having some kind of mystical cause. He may not
be incorrect about that, but from my own
training, he may be adding interpretation to the
experience that is, shall we say, personal,
related to his belief system and world-view.
How I'd be related to this person is beyond me,
beyond what he's doing here: relating a personal
experience and what it meant to him. I also do
that. I also eat food and drink water, and
dispose of what is not used of them, the same as
all living people. I see nothing menacing or
threatening in what he reported. That's tacked on
by someone else, as a completely different comment on "apocalyptic Shiites."
Shi'a escatology might be worrisome, just as the
Christian version can be. But where am I
proposing something worrisome, if that's "orgasm
wikipedia's" intention to point out?
No, there is no particular reason to think that
Orgasm Wikipedia is anything other than a sock
puppet, or meat puppet, in the Wikipedia trope.
If he's a separate person, it just goes to show.
In particular, remarks reportedly made after his
speech before the United Nations General Assembly
have created concern (translated):
On the last day when I was speaking before the
assembly, one of a country's group told me that
when I started to say "In the name of God the
almighty and merciful," he saw a light around
me, and I was placed inside this aura. I felt
it myself.
I felt the atmosphere suddenly change, and for
those 27 or 28 minutes, the leaders of the world
did not blink. When I say they didn't bat an
eyelid, I'm not exaggerating because I was
looking at them. And they were rapt.
It seemed as if a hand was holding them there
and had opened their eyes to receive the message
from the Islamic republic.
Former CIA officer Robert Baer said, in the context
of evaluating a nuclear strike on Iran, that
Ahmadinejad and others in the Iranian government
are "apocalyptic Shiites." He continues, "If youâre
sitting in Tel Aviv and you believe theyâve got
nukes and missiles youâve got to take them
out. These guys are nuts and there's no reason to back
off.
Notice where the threat is coming from. It's
explicit. "You've got to take them out." That is
"former CIA officer" Baer saying that it is
*necessary* to attack these evil Shiites before they kill us or our friends.
Lots of nuts in this world but Jojo, you are definately not one of them.
Orgasm Wikipedia
Brilliant. Scary. Remember, there are Christians
who believe that support for Israel, including
attacking and killing the enemies of Israel, is a
necessary part of the Apocalypse, and they propose to trigger it.
I knew someone else who was crazy like this:
Charles Manson. Believe it or not, in person, he
sounded much saner than Jojo Jaro and "Orgasm
Wikipedia," a name clearly created to comment
here, in these immediate discussions. Manson also
managed to convince a few friends that he was
right, and I knew a couple of them as well, and
they are still in prison. Very scary. Deadly scary. Tragically scary.
There is danger from the Iranians, for sure, but
God help us if these "Christian" loonies get
their hands on nukes. They are essentially
announcing that they will use them to kill the
"bad guys." Satan loves that one, it is his favorite trick.
What did Jesus say about this?
