"The DD-BOP reaction in the context of Mizuno's new paper" Yes there are problems with this hypothesis - but Mizuno's amazing result of finding hydrogen as the ash is such a profound surprise, that nothing really makes sense other than deuterium stripping of some kind. Maybe someone else can come up with a better explanation. The solution which is offered is falsifiable. In fact Mizuno probably has data which already collected which can validate . or not.
