The neutron bands in transition metal lattices may be the result of magnetic decoupling of neutrons from the nuclei of the transition metal. This would possibly make the neutrons available for transmutations and energy release to the lattice--consistent with Axil’s idea about the polarization of the gluon spins and reduction of the strong force between protons and neutrons.

This excludes the hydrino mechanism from LENR.
