I was musing on the possibility of separating Deuterium
gas from Hydrogen gas with the Ranque-Hilsch Vortex tube.
Since one molecule is twice the weight of the other it
would seem a plausible approach to the problem. In the
course of a Google search I came across this rather
fascinating account of the tube's operation.
