Vince Golubic sent me a message: "This latest issue of Scientific American just confirms to me that the mass media is starting to carry forth the trailblazing that Gene did for years ..this issue brings up many questions in Relativity and several topics Gene recently covered including the possible variability of the speed of light. I think his skills have influenced many far and wide (and some in mass media will probably never admit to this influence)."

That's true, but I had to point out in return:

"The latest issue of Sci. Am. may in some sense lend support to Gene's issue about Einstein, but it also attacks Gene directly. See page 98, 'Toppling the Giant,' paragraph 1: '(The third big class of craziness: perpetual motion machines and infinite-energy sources.)'"

I am pretty sure they had the magazine in mind. The notion that relativity proves cold fusion or ZPE cannot exist is the biggest class of craziness around.
