With all due respect for Mark Goldes' "Electron Flywheel Energy Storage - Ultraconductors",
that might work in five years, the more practical "flywheel batteries" are ready to be incorporated into
Hybrid Vehicles, in place of lead acid batteries tomorrow.
The infrastructure for underground flywheel "storage wells" exists in my driveway and those of
my city (and country) neighbors. And our roofs are ready to be shingled with PV shingles. The local shopping malls
are suitable for upgrade to PV-Roofed parking spaces, with minimal paving disturbance for parking lot "storage wells".
Every downtown light pole is amenable for a PV panel and "storage well", for charging the
battery on your Sedgeway, too.
