Heffner mentioned randomness. In automatic flow control a setpoint is maintained by selecting a proportional band and determining the number of resets per minute that would permit the control to average the flow. The randomness is controlled by permitting freedom within limits.
There appears to be reset mechanisms built into everything.. creating chaos or harmony ? In Texas, a country beerjoint cannot stay in business without one good fight per week to release the tension.
