Sorry for my usual bumbling, stumbling and fumbling. I think the FTL by down-converting idea, however worthy, is fairly well expressed now. BTW, I got the idea while reading "The Fabric of the Cosmos" by Brian Green, especially pages 194-197. It is a fabulous book.
