No, of course not.... fusion would require perhaps another 100,000 atm of applied pressure... but , fortunately, it is that very pressure (in the absence of full cryogenics) which first gives us the BEC-like state anyway ... picoseconds before the fusion event; in a rapidly pulsating "exciton;" therefore it is not two different processes.
