I am sure Close himself wrote the blurb announcing this lecture at the Royal Society of New Zealand. . He and the other hard core components are amazing. I'll bet they have not seen a single paper since 1989. He probably does not have a clue what is happening at Mitsubishi, for example. It would be fun to plant a mole in the audience at the Society, to ask him about Mitsubishi during the Q&A session.
