.That's preposterous. A development of this nature would be of earthshaking
important to every aspect of physics, science, and technology. If it really
happened, and it was covered up, that would be the worst suppression of an
important breakthrough in history. The military aspects of it would be
trivial in comparison.
Also, it would give the U.S. such a tremendous
military advantage it would
probably reduce the overall military budget,
because we would not need any
other weapons.
Anyway the whole story
sounds like rot to me. You could not develop
anything this good in secret,
and you could not keep it secret if you did.
The government and military
contractors have not special advanced knowledge
unavailable to the rest of
us. If anything, they run behind civilian
technology these days. Toymakers
are more advanced.

Toymakers??? where do you think the
best ideas come from..?? Without a Buck Rogers comic book , Nasa would have
lacked the design for the shuttle.
