I scanned the latest (June 05) Sci Am magazine and was
shocked. It contained:

                  An article reporting that the laws of Mendelian
genetic inheritance may be violated

                  An article saying that the physical constants of the
universe might have been different in times past ( i.e. not 'constant')
                  
                  The cover talks about the possibility of suspended
animation

                  there is an ad for Bruce Ames new anti-aging pill (
Juvenon)

                  Wow!  Can it be? The dark cloud of conservative
thinking in science is finally lifting?  

                  Could a newer issue proclaim "Damn!, there's something
to cold fusion, after all!"

                  Maybe competition from the New Scientist got to
