That's interesting, but it is not a space elevator. Test in space have
already been performed with existing fibers, although this new fiber may be
superior.
I do not know how much strength a space elevator calls for, but I have read
that carbon nanotubes are already within striking distance of that goal.
Clarke predicted it would take a couple hundred years.
