Can a battery be made outta stuff that's highly reactive? Like aluminum
and bromine?

I guess that's the limiting factor with chemical batteries - heat. I
wonder if there's any way to reduce the heat output while pushing more
electrons?

Moin Chris,

Check out Ken Susslick's work with NiMH at the U of Chicago. He was making some pretty outrageous claims for his micropowders. Last I looked, he had not yet made any deals with a manufacturer, but that may have changed. It looks like some of the manufacturers are beginning to come up with solutions to the electrode problems. That may have been what was hindering the progress with Susslick, I don't know.
