I know someone who runs his second hand diesel on cooking oil from the local Tesco. He swears it runs more smoothly than on conventional diesel. He tells me that quite a few people run their cars on used cooking oil from the local chippy. The only problem there is the used stuff pongs a bit and is likely to attract attention from the fuzz.
