Dr Storms, Well put, measured and pragmatic. Nobody knows the answers but the answer can't have a large state interference policy, forcible confiscation of wealth and a political elite.

The problem in the US these days is that people look at the problem and suggest arbitrary solutions based on some ideal idea. People are not looking to see what works and then reward such efforts. The concept of competence has been lost. Unskilled leaders are excused for extreme incompetence and dishonesty because they are Republican or Democrat, or more to the point these days, because they are "conservative Christians". A society can not survive using this approach, as we are on the way to finding out.
