Indeed.
I have read others state that you could simply weld together
single-cell NiMH batteries readily available on the market.
I think that takes over 6,000 connections for the Voltage and capacity
in the RAV4 EV battery. <grin>
{Actually, that should read '<grimace>'. :-(
