Having recently retired I now have a lot more time on my hands to pursue
many personal interests. But then, dang it, I get hit with a nasty head cold
that just lingers on and on. On top of that, it's zero degrees outside in
the Midwest. So, what's a quarantined retired guy with a nasty head cold
going to do? Watch the Doctor, of course....

December has come and gone. This means the original deadline for BLP
introducing a SunCell (TM) prototype to the world has not left the train
station. It is not surprising that certain SCP members have started asking
for updates. (I would have asked too.) Here are some interesting chatter:

>From the Doctor:

/messages/4308

I don't see any show stoppers with all components invented and working.

Someone then asked if the prototype was ready for a public demonstration.
Dr. Mills replied:

Jan 3:

/messages/4302

There is a big difference between an experimental demonstration and a
commercial system.

The Doctor later added:

/messages/4303

It makes sense to get it right. Not go out like Obamacare.

I sympathize. However, historically speaking, Obamacare was not the only
government program that was initially launched with horrible flaws attached.
Social Security, when initially introduced, suffered the same fate.
Interesting how history seems to have glossed over that little glitch.

I was surprised when the moderator allowed the following pointed comment to
be posted by a concerned member:

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/SocietyforClassicalPhysics/conversations
/messages/4305

Groupers: I don't like the way this is going. It doesn't feel right, gives
me the creeps. The PROOF OF CONCEPT demo is what must happen ASAP! or
sooner. So that the patent process can proceed for Dr. Mills. He's going to
get the royal shaft on this. I can see it coming a mile away. Dr. Mills, as
he states in this morning's post, wants the commercial version first..."not
like Obamacare"...but, Obamacare was the commercial version...the Wright
Brothers plane is not the B52....all we want is for the thing to get off the
ground and FLY! Give the world a Wright Brothers' version of "hydrino" power
- or else it won't be you that makes it happen (and if it's not you...that
makes me lose even more sleep over the situation...) ty ty. sign me, Eaglet
in the nest waiting for food.

As of Monday morning, Jan 5, Dr. Mills has yet to respond directly to the
concerns discussed in the above post. Perhaps the moderator is curious as
well, which is why he allowed it through. It would be telling if the doctor
didn't.

In the meantime someone asked the following less confrontational question of
the Doctor. He quotes the Doctor:

"I don't see any show stoppers with all components invented and working."
Does that mean that all of the components have already been invented and are
working? If so that is great news!

The Doctor's terse reply:

Jan 4:

https://groups.yahoo.com/neo/groups/SocietyforClassicalPhysics/conversations
/messages/4311

Yes.

Personal thoughts:

The Doctor continues to play his cards close to the vest, often with terse
brevity. I would imagine responding on his iPhone, as he often seems to do,
does encourage an economy of words.

I am not concerned that the deadline has come and gone. As previously
stated, it would not surprise me if we don't see another significant
demonstration in 2015, particularly if the goal is to demonstrate a
commercial prototype. My current speculation is that BLP's contracted
engineering firms are beginning to realize how much more formidable
assembling a commercialized prototype is going to turn out to be. This is
not a criticism, BTW. Just the reality of the situation. After all, how do
you test the reliability of a new product if you don't actually test it
running continuously for a very long time.

Meanwhile, I've noticed that some observers don't really care about the
status of commercial demonstration. They want to see another more definitive
experimental prototype demonstrated. I, myself, sympathize with this
perception. Many (myself included) would be more than tickled to see a Q&D
POC capable of definitively showing that the SunCell self-runs completely on
its own while simultaneously generating excess electricity. It matters
little to many whether the prototype can only run for about 60 seconds
before overheating or breaking down. If BLP can definitively demonstrate a
closed loop self-generating system, Mills will have proven his point. He
would then have reason to gloat.
