Ø … if SPP are shown to be the major contributor to thermal gain in Cole’s
experiment (or anyone else who jumps into the arena), we may have chopped
months or years off of a developmental process that was until recently based on
nickel supposedly transmuting into copper.

To clarify, this is not to say that SPP are gainful alone. Essentially the
analogy of SPP action is to an intense magnetic spike – megagauss or greater.
It is what happens next that provides the gain.

Essentially if the magnetic spike focuses on a hydrogen atom, this spin energy
can force the electron orbital tighter… or if protons were already in a dense
state (the state that Miley and Holmlid describe as IRH or inverted Rydberg
hydrogen), then the dense species could fuse in a novel gamma-free way. No one
knows about the second stage, but it is enough for commercialization to find
the initial stage. If the initial mechanism for gain is SPP then a commercial
product is months away.
