I read in vortex-l many years ago about the atmosphere on Jupiter or Saturn being electrically polarized. The author said that ions were more attracted by gravity than electrons.
It is also known on earth that there is an electric field of 90-150 V/m. Is it caused by the same effect? I am basically interested in electric polarization in pressure gradients. David
