That Toyota site is pretty cool actually, and I wouldn’t want to bet against
them– given the success of the Prius in the face of initial skepticism from
“experts” like GM (following which, GM went bankrupt and Toyota became numero
uno)…not to mention Toyota’s visionary support for LENR. They look at a larger
horizon than do their competitors – and this Wisconsin solar hydrogen
technology could provide the missing piece.

Plus, it is easily conceivable that the best LENR implementation for automotive
will be moderately low COP (~2-3) and thus it will still require substantial
hydrogen fuel which can be made by the solar method.

But the real kicker, as Bob Lazar found
out, is the premature failure of the valves due to embrittlement.

Yes. That is what causes the corrosion I referred to.

Fuel cells are more energy efficient than hydrogen combustion, but they cost a
lot more money at present.

John Bockris was a pioneering expert in hydrogen energy systems. His work is
discussed in the Hoffman book. He published a book in 1975, "Hydrogen: The
Solar Hydrogen Alternative."

Toyota has introduced a hydrogen fuel cell car with an annoying overproduced
web site:
