It only has a 1 year guarantee. So, perpetual charging is not guaranteed. Seems like that if you were going to make the claim that it NEVER needs charging, then you should at least offer a 10 year guarantee so as to make it better than the best lithium battery. Reality is that even if the electret is a perpetual source, the internal lithium battery charge buffer will not be.
