In anyone here familiar with the work of Phillip Kanarev? A Russian physics professor and inventor who is more than a bit of an iconoclast.

Both of these men claim to have built working models of off balance devices - that are in some cases self running. The story is that Linevich observed that a malfunctioning pump in a Greenhouse generated more mechanical energy than could be accounted for relative to its input power.
