Perhaps.  Or (1) perhaps that 11.5 million for the IP will have been worth
the price if it helped to clear up a matter that had been continuing on in
obscurity for some time and could have dragged on for many more years.  Or
(2) perhaps the IP is seen as a form of insurance, in that IH continue to
have rights to it and so cannot, I assume, be sued for patent infringement
at some point in the future.  Or perhaps (3) there's the outside chance
that Rossi actually has something, and so if he loses this case after his
series of miscalculations he will be under great pressure to divulge the
goods or voluntarily submit to hardship.
