Palladium is considered fully loaded when the ratio of hydrogen to metal is 1:1.

Several metals will form stable hydrides with 3 protons per each metal atom.
Anything more than 3 per metal atom could be called a superhydride.

Query: What is the only metal in the periodic table which can be reduced beyond
the level of 3 protons?

Answer: Thorium is the only known metal which will form stable hydride bonds
with more than 3 protons at standard temperature and pressure.

Thorium must be heated to load to this high ratio but when it is loaded and
cooled the ultra high loading is fully stable at STP.

Bonus: Th4H15 is superconducting below the transition temperature of 8 K.

One would think that this natural superhydride – Th4H15 -- the only one in
nature at STP - would be a strong candidate for LENR.

One also wonders if what seems to be “official neglect” for this hydride
reflects an apprehension that it could be weaponized?
