Here is an interesting question with a non-obvious application to LENR – involving the Meissner effect and magnetic focusing.
It's unclear from the literature whether the Meissner Effect can be used to focus an object in a static magnetic field. For instance, imagine two strong magnets facing each other in repelling (bucking) mode with a gap in between them.. Will a superconductor (HTSC) become focused, locked and constrained within the cusp of the magnets’ bucking field (which is expected) OR does flux pinning actually hinder this focusing? The answer to that question – if it is out there on the Web, does not turn up easily. As soon as the answer turns up, an interesting way in which this could dynamic have usefulness in LENR will be mentioned.
