The theory of aneutrino-like particle known as the "leptonic monopole" has some physicalevidence for it. The theory comes from Georges Lochak and can explain some ofthe oddities of LENR as non-chemical conversion of mass to energy. A keyconcept is "pseudo-magnetism" https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1076567015000178
https://doi.org/10.1016/bs.aiep.2015.01.001 John Wallace from Virginia has possibly provided the physical evidence, and actually measured a very small mass entity that he calls a BELC(Bose-Einstein-Like Condensate). Poor choice of naming and not everyone is convinced. Anyway, the Lochakversion is massless, whereas the Wallace version has mass, which is all-important for LENR, but both conceptscould be stretched perhaps to include a tiny almost immeasurable mass which is abillion times less than the mass of an electron. The particle could possibly decay viamagnetic (spin) coupling, thus producing thermal gain in a new way.Wallacefound the unusual properties of this particle in pure iron. He presented atAsti and his work refutes the standard model, which (refutation) seems to have a lot ofsupport of late. There is a new paper online. Brian Ahern is presently trying to validate experimentally the Wallace hypothesis.
