Hi,

If the conversion of Methane to Graphene can be miniaturized to fit into a car,
and a Hydrogen fuel cell is added, then
the car can be refueled at a gas station just as that is currently done.
Furthermore the graphene is a high value
product. Given the huge amount that would be produced by so many cars, its
price would drop dramatically, and it would
be usable in a myriad of products, e.g. in strong lightweight cars.
The waste heat from the fuel cell might be recycled to help in breaking down
the methane.
For the electric motor(s) use Iron Nitride magnets.
For rapid acceleration and regenerative breaking throw in an Aluminium-Graphene
battery.

Component 2024 Gasoline Car Methane-Graphene Car
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Power Plant 200kg (ICE + Transmission) 80kg (Reactor + Electric Motors)
Fuel System 50kg (Tank + Pump) 70kg (CNG/LNG Tank)
Emissions 25kg (Catalytic Conv/Muffler) 10kg (Graphene Bin)
Chassis 1,000kg (Steel/Aluminum) 800kg (Graphene Composite)
Total Weight ~1,275 kg ~960 kg

Note that fuel cell + electric motor can be significantly more energy efficient
than internal combustion.

Of course by now many of you are wondering where all the methane is coming from.

1) Biomethane.
2) Unused graphene recycled and converted back into methane using green
Hydrogen.
3) Current sources + methane clathrates under the oceans.
4) Direct carbon capture powered by renewable energy/Fusion (See e.g. Helion
Energy that plans to supply Microsoft with
fusion power by 2028).

Note also that methane storage and transportation are all current technologies,
and a large distribution infrastructure
is already in place.

Do unto others as you would have them do unto you

for it you do not,

They will do unto you as you do unto them
