The bit about capturing energy from the stars is obviously
nonsense. There is no energy to capture, which anyone can plainly
see simply by opening their eyes (literally). However if it really
is twice as efficient in the infrared, then it may be converting
ambient heat (from the air and Earth) into electric current. Some
may remember that I have previously pointed out that a diode is
the electrical equivalent of absolute zero. This device would be
the embodiment of that concept.
