Frank asked me to post this to the Vortex-L List.

"Dear vortexians, I, Frank Stenger, former vortexian and ball
lightning nut, have in my garage over one hundred large
Sprague electrolytic capacitors.  They are  going to waste
and I thought some of you might want some for experiments.
These are high-rate, 350 volt, 6100 mfd units.  Each cap
stores a nominal 374 joules of energy.  For my ball lightning
work I used a bank of 144 caps in various connections to
store about 54,000 joules for discharge experiments.
I have also used 12 in parallel to "shoot" a forming coil
to magnetize high-energy magnets.
I DO NOT WANT to package and mail groups of these caps
around the country, BUT, this being vacation time I thought
some of you might be in my neighborhood this summer.
If you are interested and you or a friend, relative, etc. are
near the northeast corner of Ohio (I-90, near Ashtabula)
I would be happy to put a bunch of these caps in your(their)
vehicle to be carried off to the land of fringe science
experiments.
All I ask is that you use them for a noble purpose and not
sell them except for food for your starving family.  :O)
Contact me at [EMAIL PROTECTED] and I can send you
some pictures of the caps with their factory label - also
specific instructions on finding Frank's garage.
Put FREE CAPACITORS in any email subject line so I can
tell it from spam.

Yours, Frank Stenger"
