Hi Fred, I didn't actively pursue this at the time as (1) I had no ready source of CO2 (thought about tests using a 'soda stream', though!) and (2) I was concerned about efficiencies. The latter was really why I posed the question to the Y! VS group - as far as I remember, Viktor's process involved very similar chemistry (under pressure), but no electrical power (although some human power was required for 'stirring' with a dual metal paddle). Sadly, the VS group was happier talking about about 'vortex' water filter jugs etc. than this sort of thing... I'll try to fish out the original information - it would be interesting to see your take on the VS (unpowered) chemistry. Cheers, Patrick
