OTOH. if you cancel inertial mass the only possible means of propulsion would have to be electrical or magnetic fields. It takes about 60 MegaJoules per kilogram to achieve escape velocity from the earth. Or about a Hundred Megatons of TNT equivalent to get a craft like the 200 tonne Space Shuttle up to 1/100th the speed of light. Fred
