I once read a hilarious Japanese magazine article about Iwamura's research. It included a comparison table and several paragraphs explaining the "differences" between his claims and cold fusion. The author was bent over backwards trying to make a distinction between the two, and came up with several imaginary differences. The table said had rows such as:

EFFECT REPLICATED?   Iwamura: Yes   Cold fusion: No

CLAIMED TO PRODUCES ENERGY?    Iwamura: No   Cold fusion: Yes

The author was apparently unaware of the fact that Iwamura's early papers report energy production. The CF effect in his present system is far too small to produce measurable energy, but I am sure it does produce energy.
