I am most likely one of the least informed people on this planet about 'Cold
Fusion', yet I have a simple question from those that are in the know.

Okay it is proven that excess Heat can be obtained from one or more
reactions, great!, but would this not be 20-30 years from any application of
the result? In other words because we do not at present have a way to make
use of Heat in a way that is worth the effort, will not the confirmation of
excess Heat be just that? Heat is great, but only if you live where Heat is
important, I doubt I would care if I lived Hawaii. Further I doubt that
using the Heat to create steam for example to drive a electric generator
would be of much value. Is not the application of the confirmation of the
discovery dependant on an additional technology that can make use of the
result?

Stupid I may be, but is that the case or is it a case of the cart before the
horse?
