Perhaps not the material but the "shape". or "mechanical design". Requires
one to think of the word "capture " in another realm.
What is the opposite of capture? Release. What is the opposite of
magnetism? Release.
Back to Saturn's rings. Think of the most absurd explanation for their "
positioning" and test that thought against the question of why the rings
emit color. Think not the rings are "in order" but rather they are in "
disorder" attempting to achieve " reorder" and the colors emitted equated to
that energy used in the attempt..
Science must play by the rules because there are rules.. but not necessarily
the science community's rules. Steorn may be a breath of fresh air..if for
no other reason than he thinks and talks an energetic forward thinking view.
I once visited a research lab some time ago. They were sitting around
talking baseball. Dumb me asked.. what do you guys design ? The answer has
stuck with me until today.. They said... whatever the boss tells us they
want. Still not satisfied with their answer I blurted... I thought you came
up with new ideas.. they shook their heads with a gesture.. hopeless.. the
kid doesn't understand that it is the boss that comes up with ideas..
