I had a low opinion of Gov. Schwarzenegger when he was elected, and I am a democrat, but if I lived in California I would be pleased to vote for him now. He has done a spectacular job promoting sound policies on the environment and energy. He is probably the best governor in the nation on these issues.

Amen. I am also registered as a Dem, but that is only because there is no official party for Cynics, and most Libertarian Candidates here are beyond silly, when it comes to lack of practicality.

I voted for Ah-nold both times and wish he could run for president. He can't as he was not born in the USA. He is actually far more liberal than even Democrats in all but a few other states; but there are few neocons here to complain, and fewer hawks. Our guvernator shares the one oft-missing (and most highly prized) ingredient which no Pol since Reagan has mastered, and that is a delightful sense of humor and repertoire of quick-witted comments...(plus a Kennedy-like charisma); his only failing so far (which many supported) was not to show mercy on Tookie Williams. He is still the terminator in that regard.

Let's hear it for an Ahnold ammendment, and get a Prez in there with some good sense (of humor)
